In October of 2015, Mr. Rosenthal also took over the musical leadership of of the MGV Seelscheid 1837 , for which he has also arranged. Since taking the reins of this well known Men‘s Chorus in North-Rhein Westphalia, the choir has grown to circa 50 members, most of whom are very, young, making the average age within the choir circa 50 years old, very, very young for German standards. The MGV of Seelscheid ist well on it‘s way to becoming a competition choir, gives numerous performances in Seelscheid every year and is well-known as a guest choir with the Rhein-Sieg area.

LA VOCE (Honrath)
SATB Mixed Choir
In April of 2017, Mark Rosenthal was contracted to work as Choir Director for the SATB mixed Choir LA VOCE Honrath (part of Lohmar). LA VOCE has a reputation for beautiful singing and a strong, competition-like repertoire and Mark is really looking forward to a long and productive relationship with this fine SATB mixed Choir.

A Capella Mixed Choir
In October of 2013, Mark Rosenthal took over the conducting responsibilities for the the SATB mixed Choir COSI FUN TUTTI, in Bonn, a choir for which he composed and arranged many pieces of music. The choir (circa 30 members) also took part of an experimental musical installation called „bonnhoeren“ in the Summer of 2014 – an outdoor performance.

Opportunities for other Choirs
Aside from his duties as Choirdirector for three choirs, Mark also works as a group coach for a number of other mixed choirs, including KONTRAPUNKT and COLLEGIUM CANTANDI BONN. He also works on an irregular basis for other choirs, i.e., d’accord.
The main focus of Mr. Rosenthal‘s coaching work is to teach and imbue a reliable singing technique where appogio (breath support) and Chiaroscuro tone-ideal are in the foreground.
